Sarkodie considers giving permission to his fans to receive royalties from his song

Rapper Sarkodie has ignited a debate on social media with a post on his Facebook page.

On March 5, a post appeared on his Facebook page asking if SarkNation, his fan base, would be interested in owning a share in any of his songs and earning royalties from it.

The ‘Countryside’ hitmaker made this post following an initial one where he asked fans what they wished the rapper could do for them.

“SarkNation interested in owning shares in one Sarkodie Track and earn royalties?” the rapper asked in his Facebook post.

Social media users have since reacted to his post and have already commended him although the rapper has not yet implemented his idea.

One user said “Wow! This is what I have been waiting to see our celebrities do. Give your fans ways to earn too. Great move!”
